"The New Dixie Syncopators" about 1963
Here during a concert we gave in the great hall of our school (a secondary school at Furtweg in Hamburg-Eidelstedt). The group’s members varied. Note the rudimentary drum set, consisting of just a snare and a hi-hat; the snare, at least, was already equipped with a regular stand. From left to right: Wolfgang Kleinz: drums, Manfred Jedzini: guitar, Jürgen Wiegand: trumpet, DieterGeike: banjo, Gerhard Pramor (unfortunately not in the picture): piano.
