"The New Dixie Syncopators" in concert,
about 1962
In the great hall of our secondary school at Furtweg in
Hamburg-Eidelstedt we gave a charity concert for the benefit of “Brot für
die Welt”. For this occasion we had asked some other musicians to sit in
with the band. From left to right: Thomas Arbeiter:
trombone, Jürgen Wiegand: trumpet, Dieter Geike: banjo, Gerhard Pramor:
piano, Werner Hinrichs: tenor sax, Malte Richter (unfortunately hardly to be
seen): acoustic bass, Gerd Müdde: clarinet and alto sax.
